Having debuted the modernized Ultra Boost with the help of the International Space Station U.S. National Laboratory earlier this month, adidas is bringing a multi-colored outfit to the Ultra Boost 20. The fan-favorite construction first appeared on the marquee trainer back in 2016 and has seen a release on subsequent versions of the caged model with this forthcoming take dressing up two pairs: one black, one white. Unlike previous multi-colored iterations, this upcoming two-pack makes a faithful, but reserved nod to the original because it isolates the animated threading around the toe; threading on this version is not as vibrant as on the Ultra Boost 1.0 and also allows bits of the tonal Primeknit upper to peek through it. Updating the scheme for the new decade, the red, yellow, and blue strands also appear on the sturdy cages, taking on a quasi-tye-dye effect. Everything from laces to BOOST-midsole is done in tonal black or white on each respective pair, but the latter option dons silver Three Stripes branding at the midfoot and a black Stretchweb outsole with Continental rubber.
