Nike Applies Vintage Brand Ephemera To The Air Max 97

The Nike Air Max 97 has been on an interesting trajectory lately as it has focused more so on general release colorways that associate with specific motifs such as the Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day holidays, as well as fashioning its iconic “Silver Bullet” in an updated fairway-ready iteration for golfers. And now, it looks like another in-line release is upon the horizon this time in the form of a rendition ornamented with vintage brand ephemera. What appears to be chronological sketches of vintage Nike logos arrange themselves in repeated circular patterns and arrive subtly along the throat, and lateral overlays/windows, and more prominently along the heels tabs and insole graphics. Falling in the backdrop of these throwback patterns is a mosaic of multi-colored hues involving louder hues of red, orange, yellow, and blue that energize these AM 97s with a touch of artistic vibrance. For those looking to pick up a pair, be on the lookout for them to drop on Nike.com and at select retailers in the coming weeks for a retail price of $180.
