Virgil Abloh’s Off-White Air Jordan 5 Is Releasing February 15th

Virgil Abloh’s Off-White Air Jordan 5 Is Releasing February 15th

Giving the sneaker space the earliest look of Nike and Jordan’s All-Star Weekend 2020 Preview back in November 2019, Virgil Abloh’s Off-White imprint is finally dropping its collaborative Air Jordan 5 on the event’s second day – February 15th – as part of the Jumpman’s 8×8 collection. Though slightly reminiscent of a previous “Wolf Grey” iteration and with details transplanted from its ’90 debut, this AJ5 is given a proper “Off-White” treatment complete with Helvetica-text on the laces and on its medial sides. Furthermore, traditional leather construction on uppers is exchanged for a see-through, synthetic arrangement inline with Abloh’s signature deconstructed aesthetic. While tongues keep their traditional reflective finish on this mid-February release, profile netting and ankle protrusions (flattened-out) receive peculiar circular windows that act as magnifying lenses for the aforementioned medial side description. Down below, icy soles have been pre-yellowed to match those on pairs from over 25 years ago.

Grab an exclusive look at this Off-White x Air Jordan 5 here below and mark your calendars for February 15th, 2020 if you’re going to try to secure your size for $225 USD.
