Where To Buy The Strangelove Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low

Collaborations are quickly starting to pile up for the Nike SB division, especially for their popular Dunk silhouette which after receiving a high-profile makeover crafted by the hands of Paul Rodgriguez, is now switching gears for a low-top offering with Strangelove Skateboards. As much as these pairs are commemorative of Sean Cliver’s (the founder of the brand) love of skateboarding and graphics, they also serve as a full-circle moment for the designer’s “Nike envy” that he reflects on growing up not being able to afford the newest Swoosh models. And given the fact that he previously worked on past SB designs such as a Dunk Low quickstrike in 2014 dedicated to the 10th anniversary of Disposable: A History of Skateboard Art, in addition to his California-based imprint’s elements of cheeky-yet-romantic artistry, a Valentine’s Day collaboration couldn’t have made more sense.

These Dunk Lows heavily focus on quality materialization as they arrive engineered with a blend of premium velvet and suede textures painted in holiday-appropriate red/pink hues. Replete with elements mirroring that of the brand’s lovestruck ethos, this rendition is decorated with skull-faced heart embroideries on the rear laterals, the imprint’s moniker on the tongue, and insole graphics split between skeletal Cupids and a skateboard intertwined with a ribbon rose. Furthermore, the outsoles also usher in heart-shaped confetti place in the forefoot and heel regions. For those interested, they will be releasing first on February 1st on the Strangelove web-store which will come in special packagings, followed by a skate shop release on February 7th, and Nike SNKRS release on February 8th.
