The Nike Air Foamposite Pro Gets A New White/Red/Black Colorway For March

The Nike Air Foamposite Pro Gets A New White/Red/Black Colorway For March

Following up a surprising retro of the Air Penny 5 “Invisibility Cloak,” Nike Basketball is scheduled to release the Air Foamposite Pro in a subtle tri-colored scheme in just a month. The Foamposite Pro, which debuted in 1997 as the follow-up to the iconic Air Foamposite One, has opted for a sterile-look for its pending drop as shades of “White” coat most of the shell upper, mesh tongue, collars, pull tabs, laces, and outsoles. Black overlays around the laces, ankle, and heel immediately call upon the silhouette’s fan-favorite “Pearl” ensemble, but their leather construction and “University Red” Swooshes dispel any possible homage. Additionally, the “White” used on this Foamposite Pro appears almost chrome-like, making the ahead-of-its-time model seem even more futuristic.

Grab a closer look at this pair here below as you wait for its rumored drop on March 5th. And to see what the future of Nike Basketball looks like, check out the Air Zoom BB NXT ahead of its Tokyo Olympics 2020 debut.
