Sneaker News Back for the first time ever is the Nike Air Max Tailwind V, the fifth installment of Nike Running’s visible Air Tailwind series that debuted in 1992. The V was first available in the year 2000 and was most notable for its futuristic upper that utilized a warped grid pattern for a quilted aesthetic, and a full-length Air Max unit that debuted a carved structure that matched the outer-dimensional look of the silhouette. News of a re-release had been circulating since mid-2019, with rumors of collaboration with Skepta to be part of the model’s official bring-back plans.
Although we fully expect the Air Max Tailwind V to drop in its original form, this first look at the Air Max Tailwind V features a completely different upper; a stitched pattern replaces the bulky original form, while an embroidered Swoosh offers up a more premium lifestyle affair.
