New Balance Adds Canvas Underlays To This Spring-Ready 998

New Balance’s 998, though once one of the brand’s many poster boys during the peak of the runner craze, has slowed down its release cadence dramatically in recent years, but after arriving back in the spotlight thanks to a sustainable reissue, the model is slowly trickling out a set of newfound GRs. Bearing a palette near emblematic of Spring/Summer, the latest colorway paints with a relatively neutral white brush, accenting the quality pig suedes with a bit of both orange and blue at the top line and accenting molds, respectively. Elsewhere, in departure from the monochromatic tooling, the blank factory laces, and typical “N” logo appliques, the underlay doses in a canvas fabrication reminiscent of burlap both in its shading and texture, effectively providing a hand-made quality to the classic Made in USA constructions. Grab a detailed look at these here and find them available now at newbalance.com.
