Elliot Santiago After taking some time to focus on their more classic models such as the GEL-Lyte 3 and GEL-1090, ASICS is looking to stir up some excitement for their fans by introducing their more modernized propositions for the Summertime. One being the all new GEL-Venture RE, which from a design standpoint, is heavily inspired by the GEL-Venture 6. From a constructional perspective, many elements from the shape, to the mesh toe boxes, to trail-influenced laces are kept intact, but the outsole has been slightly beefed up to align with today’s crowd that pore over chunky dad runners. Aesthetically, the shoes are crafted with a color palette ideal for the warmer seasons as its titular “Birch” hue is utilized for a majority of its composition including the base layers and treading. Retro-styled accents arrive by way of teal and orange accents located atop the its exposed stitchings and ankle panel, and evoke connections to that of Miami Dolphins team colors. For those looking to scoop up a pair, they are available now in select ASICS retailers for $130 USD.
