And while most of its commemorative releases have been solo-efforts so far, the German juggernaut’s latest taps long-time collaborator Parley.
Using the Ultra Boost DNA – which is rooted in the model’s original shape – as a canvas, the eco-friendly partnership’s next footwear product not only continues the fight against waste, but also nods to one of the silhouette’s most-coveted releases. Parley Ocean Plastic® recycled fibers on both “Cloud White” and “Core Black” pairs give these runners the same “Blue Spirit” flair that mesmerized enthusiasts back in 2015. This material, which is helping the German sportswear brand inch closer to using only recycled plastics in all their products by 2024, provides the only pop of color on each Ultra Boost DNA. Primeknit bases, profile 3-Stripes, Boost midsoles and Continental™ rubber outsoles all take a step back in their monochromatic arrangements.
