Kevin Bradley Draws From Personal Favorites For His Two Nike SB Blazers

Kevin Bradley Draws From Personal Favorites For His Two Nike SB Blazers

Though originally presumed to be two sides of the same coin — Heaven and Hell — Kevin Bradley’s forthcoming Nike SB collaboration actually comes from a place of love and personal favorites. Both an exclusive Orange Label release, the pairs encapsulate the skater’s free spirit, going from a chill blue sky to an ever-aggressive homage to one of the Star-Wars Prequels’ most legendary villains.

The Blazer Low, which borders between a personal vignette and product of utility, was brought to life by way of Bradley’s experimentation. Cloud swooshes and subtle raindrop markings at the heel nod to both the skater’s and his grandma’s passion for the rain — “I really like the rain, my grandma really liked the rain,” he remarks. Alongside, a dark royal profile alludes to a clear sky while white tongues and matching midsole walls complement the core themes. Finished by “Nike KB” at the tongue as well as three velcro straps, the pair acts as a mirror of both the talent’s legacy as well as his lazy attitude.

In departure, the Blazer Mid is far more straightforward. Rather than involve the anecdotal, the pair simply borrows from the dual-sided saber wielding Darth Maul, one of Bradley’s favorite characters in the film universe. As such, bright reds and dark blacks accent to directly reference the look of the menacing Sith Lord with velour fabrics added as an extra, luxurious touch. Embroidered insignia then dresses the heel and the KB branding returns in the same form as the aforementioned.
