J. Cole’s Puma RS-Dreamer Signature Basketball Shoe Debuts On July 31st

J. Cole’s Puma RS-Dreamer Signature Basketball Shoe Debuts On July 31st

Following his Lewis Street EP release last week, J. Cole, while primarily known for his talents on the mic, is prepared to spread his creative wings into the realm of footwear to introduce his first basketball signature in collaboration with Puma. Entitled the RS-Dreamer, the shoes are directly inspired by the idea of never letting go of your dreams despite any hardships or obstacles you may face along the way.

In terms of its design, the Dreamville artist’s silhouette arrives in low-profile format sporting a breathable mesh upper paired with suede overlays atop the forefoot and near the ankle. A wire-esque attachment with exposed stitchings runs across the midfoot, wraps around the heel, and is held down by two loops towards the heel; both of which usher in reflective detailing. The RS foam midsoles however, are the attention-grabbers here as they are executed with abstractly-shaped molds that deviate in blocky textures rigged towards the middle, and hollowed out at the heels. While they’ve already been spotted on Puma signature athletes such as Kyle Kuzma, this inaugural black/multi-color makeup is set to launch on July 31st for $125 on Puma.com and the retailers here below. Peep a detailed look here while you wait on their arrival.
