This Glow-In-The-Dark Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Celebrates Classic Gaming Culture

The Nike Blazer Mid ’77 continues to set itself apart by way of visuals, though instead of multiplying or rebuilding à la Chitose Abe, the silhouette is set to bear a design far distinct from the vintage aesthetic it’s made its own. Retro in more ways than one, the pair effectively melds together multiple influences. Gaming rears its 8-bit head in bold fashion through the printed Swoosh while classic palettes are represented via the gradient found along the tooling. Patches at the heel tab cover the usual Nike lock-up with velcro, allowing for heart and smiley patches to take the space. “HAVE A GOOD GAME” stamps right along the back heel, while a hidden layer of extra branding is masked thanks to the glow-in-the-dark veil. Grab a detailed look at these right here and expect a release to arrive later this Fall at Nike.com.

In other news, the Evergreen Air Max 1 is dropping soon.
