Though among one of the less-represented diffusions in the COMME des GARCONS family, CDG Girl is now beginning to take a fraction of the spotlight with what is effectively their first Nike collaboration of the season. And while its namesake is surprisingly left out of the final product, the imprint leaves a defined mark by way of a well-executed Blazer Low.
The offering, while unassuming at a glance, takes a unique DIY approach to the staple silhouette, the aesthetic positively affected as a result. While all pairs are hued in pink, the coat is likely to be distinct from one to the other as each is individually air-brushed along the leather construction. Subtle imperfections mark the side walls, toe boxes, and the like, each giving way to the white underneath in some manner. Even the tooling has its fair share of desirable flaws as the more saturated coat arrives dark at some points and light at others. Laces and branded tongue tabs, in departure, are the only accents to be attached after the fact, contrasting with a discernible brand new.
Find these available right now at DSM London for a price of £245 GBP.
