Nike honors the 100th Anniversary of the Negro Leagues with a special footwear collection inspired by the red and white uni forms of the Kansas City Monarchs, the team where Jackie Robinson began his baseball legacy. Each is covered in a navy pinstripes with a white/red base, while the KC heart logo – originally seen in the Monarchs’ 1942 championship jersey, is prominently featured on the tongue. Included in this series is five of Nike Baseball’s flagship models – the Ultrafly 2, Huarache 2 Mid, Low, and Turf, and the Nike Trout 6. You can find these on the feet of Nike athletes on the games held on August 16th.
