Michael Le Since the start of 2020, it’s clear that New Balance is putting most if not all of their energy behind their collaborators. And while JJJJound and Casablanca handle a more lifestyle-oriented market, names like Jaden Smith are catering to both avid fans as well as those with more eclectic taste. And though it’s recently arrived, the artist’s Vision Racer silhouette is making its way back to the forefront in a brand new yellow colorway.
Unchanged in form, the pair simply removes the blue coats for a bright yellow palette. The shade works its way into the suede along the upper, the seemingly inflated tooling, and nearly every accent adjacent. “N” logos and smaller pieces of paneling, however, do balance by way of neutrals as they provide a monochromatic slate of white to grey to black. “((VISIONS))” then stamps along the taping that dresses the entire circumference of the model, honoring itself but also the energy Smith has exuded since his music debut.
