adidas, having launched the hybrid Ultra4D in mid-August, already has its sights on the new silhouette’s next release. Similar to the sneaker’s inaugural colorway, which pays homage to the original Ultra Boost, the forthcoming option indulges in a beloved triple-white ensemble.
Uppers on the Three Stripes’ latest 3D-cushioned design are directly transplanted from the model that popularized Boost sole units among the masses. Primeknit construction keeps what’s oft-considered the best pattern across the Ultra Boost line, which celebrates its 5th Anniversary in 2020. Heel molds, however, deviate from the blueprint with their lateral “ULTRA4D” branding, denoting the familiar silhouette’s newness. Underfoot, adidas 4D midsoles don a non-“Core Black” or “Aero Green” arrangement for the first time since being introduced three years ago. Instead, they, just as the upper, revel in a tonal “Core White” color scheme sure to transport enthusiasts back to the mid 2010s.
Details of an official adidas.com launch haven’t been publicized yet, but this Ultra4D are likely to arrive before the year ends. Until then, enjoy official images of the pair here below.
