The adidas FYW XTA “Sand” Readies For A September Launch

The adidas FYW XTA “Sand” Readies For A September Launch

Throughout 2020, adidas has been going through its archive to either retro a model or find design inspiration for future silhouettes. The FYW XTA, which launched in May via the brand’s Consortium program, is a nod to ’90s hiking footwear.

Clad in “Sand”, the mixed-materials upper delivers both durability and breathability through its nubuck and mesh construction, respectively. “Core Black” joins the mix across the model’s robust lacing system, which consists of plastic D-rings, EQT badge-branded elastic bands, layered eye-stays, and rope laces. Branding along the profiles, as well as collar lining and heel pull tabs, indulge in a retro green hue. Underfoot, the Feet You Wear sole unit forgoes any eye-catching tones in favor of a rather tonal dark arrangement, but still makes a statement with its aggressive, outdoors-ready tooling.

Enjoy official images of the FYW XTA “Sand” here below, and find pairs arriving to select European retailers on September 3rd.
