New Balance Offers Up A 997 With A Southwestern Palette

New Balance Offers Up A 997 With A Southwestern Palette

As if it hadn’t already made a strong case for itself as “Sneaker Brand of the Year,” New Balance is closing out 2020 with notable inline takes of some of its most beloved silhouettes. The latest to receive some attention from the Boston-based stalwart is the New Balance 997.

While not as sporty as the model Bodega recently collaborated on, the aforementioned pair features a color palette that simultaneously feels retro and modern. A light grey sets the stage across the trainer’s pig suede overlays for the orange, yellow and blue accents throughout the upper. The former two hues make the boldest statement on the recent drop, animating the forefoot and heel, but branding indulge in the third tone. Underfoot, the ENCAP midsole forgoes any vibrant color in favor of a plain white composition; its tried-and-tested tread follows suit, but in black.

This 997 is currently available at NewBalance.com for $170 USD.
