Two holidays are to be celebrated by Nike through specially-crafted footwear collections this October: Halloween and Dia de Los Muertos. For the latter, the Beaverton-headquartered brand has hand-picked five silhouettes to be remixed with holiday-inspired flair, one being the Nike Daybreak Type.
While not as loud in color as say its Air Max 90 release sibling, this iteration still possesses interesting details such as the bone-like graphics intricately stitched into the Swooshes, the miniature floral emblem atop the lateral heel overlays, and the text-based phrase across the heels which splits between “Para Mi” on the left and “Familia” on the right which in English translates to “For my family”. Aside from its white netted base, you’ll notice bright accents of “Cactus Flower” and “University Gold” see through to the mid-foot overlays, the former of which coats the throat, while panels across the toe tips arrive dressed with charcoal grey coats and cracked textures. Enjoy a gallery of official images of the pair here below, and be on the lookout for them to release on Nike.com on October 27th for $110 USD.
For other footwear news, the Nike SB Dunk Low Wheat is expected to release soon.
