A skateboarding-inspired extension of an icon, the upcoming adidas Forum ’84 ADV owes the style, finesse, and insight of pro skater Heitor da Silva for its very creation. Unveiled just today, the collaborative model will be making its way to shelves in only a few more days.
“I skated in the adidas Originals Forum a few years ago and loved them. I love classic basketball shoes for the look, durability and comfort,” Heitor da Silva mentioned. “The design process was fun and surreal—so happy I got to be a part of bringing the Forum back, especially for skateboarding.”
Familiar in its frame, the offering effectively masks many a performance upgrade. Purple-tinted full-grain leathers wrap much of the entire shoe, increasing durability alongside the rubber cup sole and the double-layered toe cap. An EVA tooling then sits underfoot, paired with a gum sole to couple stability with boosted comfort and impact protection. ADIPRENE sockliners, then, ensure a glove-like fit, while mesh tongues provide breathability along with a the skater’s signature in gold lettering.
