Despite being preoccupied with 50th and fifth anniversaries for two of its most important silhouettes, the adidas Superstar and adidas Ultra Boost, the Three Stripes has demonstrated its commitment towards the widespread adoption of its 3D-printed cushioning. At the forefront of those endeavors?: The Ultra 4D, which launches in a fan-favorite “Core White” ensemble on December 14th.
Reminiscent of cream iterations first seen at the height of the Ultra Boost’s popularity, the forthcoming pair features the five-year-old design’s beloved Primeknit pattern throughout its upper. Profile 3-Stripes and molded heel structures also nod to the BOOST-cushioned model, despite the latter components donning matte “ULTRA 4D” branding. Unlike on previous releases, the adidas 4D cushioning on the hybrid silhouette indulges in a hue similar to the upper instead of “Core Black” or “Aero Green.” Data-driven tread, however, delivers stark contrast sure to hide wear on the rather tonal proposition.
Enjoy another look at the pair here below, as you wait for an adidas.com launch on December 14th.
Elsewhere under the adidas empire, Yeezy has a handful of options arriving before 2020 ends.
