The Air Jordan 5‘s 30th anniversary has included returns to original “Fire Red” form, two highly-coveted collaborations with Off White and a “What The” arrangement. And while impressive in their own right, these propositions have arguably been overshadowed by the unexpectedness of the silhouette’s low-top, golf-ready iteration, which is slated to launch in a “Wolf Grey” scheme on December 18th.
While not touted as a for-the-green version of a greyscale pair from 2011, the forthcoming Air Jordan cleat features a near-identical upper. Each panel is held together via “White” contrast stitching, while mesh windows on the profiles indulge in a new, icy makeup. Lateral heels forgo embroidered “23” logos, but spines boast the same Jumpman branding as the nine-year-old predecessor; elsewhere, logos further opt into the sneaker’s greyscale palette, but the modified lace-toggle features a black emblem. Underfoot, the Jordan 5 Low Golf complements its two-tone midsole with a translucent blue outsole equipped with stability and traction for 18-holes.
Enjoy official images of the next basketball-turned-golf shoe ahead, and secure your pair via Nike.com on December 18th for $220 USD.
For more Jordan release dates, the Jordan 13 “Hyper Royal” launches on December 19th.
