Kicking off 2021, Nike already has a collection arriving this month to fulfill its sustainability resolutions for the new year. It sees the brand’s new recycled woolen fabric on models such as the Air Max 95 and Air Force 1. Joining the lineup is the Air Zoom Type in a black and Electric Green arrangement.
Similar to the collection’s Air Max Plus, its uppers are almost entirely constructed from the recycled fabric, rather than having the wool-like texture used as mere accents. The fibers of the black wool uppers obstruct the visibility of the white swoosh printed on the side. Electric green contrast stitch detailing covers the toe and heel as an added pop of color. This shade is also used on the forefoot’s Zoom Air cushioning, interrupting the Light Bone midsole. To complete the sole unit, a grey rubber outsole is used, featuring a speckled design.
The pair will be available at the retailers listed below on January 7, for $150.
