Earlier this past week, Hiroshi Fujiwara shared a B/W image of some Fragment Dunks. Though possibly a brand new colorway, it’s far more likely that these were one of his many standouts from the 2010s, a time where the designer offered not just one but an entire “City Pack” trio inspired by London, New York, and Beijing. And according to recent rumor, it seems all three will finally be making a comeback over a decade after their original release.
Reissued due most in part to the Dunk’s overwhelming increase in popularity, the collection is slated to arrive this Fall at a premium $150 USD price point. Each arrangement — from the floral Pink and Yellows of London to the dark scheme of Beijing — alternates in the very same fashion, the palette inversed as it transitions to the opposite foot. Alongside, each owes credit to a different maker: the “London” ostensibly borrows from South Park hero Mint Berry Crunch, the “Beijing” leans closer to signature Fragment colors, and the “New York” bears the direction of Cav Empt head Sk8thing.
For now, as the release is still months away, take a look at the original pairs below. Once further imagery and information is shared, expect to learn about it right here.
