Eric Emanuel has bounced back and forth between Reebok and adidas this past year, but now that the former is soon to change hands, it seems the designer is leaning towards the side of the Three Stripes as he prepares a collaborative Forum ’84 Hi. And this isn’t your ordinary release, as the design simultaneously celebrates the McDonald’s All-American Games.
Seen right atop the profile, the iconic golden arches set the tone for the entire colorway. The fast food chain’s palette informs much of the overall aesthetic, with the outsole, trim, and collar accent with hits of bright yellow. Rounding off the connection, the Three Stripes along the side mark with bright red, set atop a frame that’s otherwise neutral in its layers of white and cream. Along the medial, many of these fixtures are replaced for navy, matching the Eric Emanuel insignia that sits directly opposite of yet another McDonald’s logo.
As the official outfitter of the event, adidas is pulling out all the stops. If these are to make an actual, retail release, they’ll likely to do around the game’s yet-to-be announced date.
In other news, the original Futurecraft 4D is coming back.
