Michael Le With Spring nearly here (and the warmer weather with it), Nike is preemptively setting up for vacation as they dress up many of their classics in tropical shades. In the case of this Air Max 95, said inspiration is taking a more overt approach as a pineapple literally takes up seat atop the silhouette.
Elsewhere, the brightly colored fruit is celebrated through color, the upper taking on many of its shades plus more. Suedes and canvas panels foundationally construct the silhouette in make-ups neutral, allowing the profile’s middle layer to heavily contrast in an orange-dyed leather that could possibly owe its fibers to the fruit itself. To round off the connection, the embroidered Swoosh adjacent, the lateral eye stays, and the Air Units hue a bright green, complementing the crown seen on the tongue’s anthropomorphic pineapple graphic.
