Throughout Russell Westbrook‘s line-up of signature Jordans, few releases were ever collaborations with a third party. However, with the debut of his brand new Why Not Zer0.4, Westbrook is linking up with Japan’s FACETASM, one of the few labels capable of matching the athlete’s chaotic nature.
In the works for around three years now, the capsule includes both footwear and apparel, the latter a diffusion of the bold design and style the former masterfully employs. While the tracksuits, fleece-lined jackets, and hoodies highlight graphics of all sorts, the collaborative Why Not Zer0.4 pays more attention to texture and construction. Light blues create a loud though workable foundation, while underlaid hits of navy fill in the blanks along both the lateral and medial profile. Then, over top that, accessorizing bits of red and light silver dress in seeming randomness — some fixtures shrouded by branded, stripe-patterned straps, others accented adjacent by colorful, contrast stitch. What’s more, FACETASM even takes some liberties with the tongue and lining as designer Hiromichi Ochiai has opted for a deep pile and quilting, respectively.
And that’s not all the pair has to offer, but to get the full picture, you’ll have to witness it for yourself below. If you’re looking to pick up a set, they’ll be available on January 27th at Nike SNKRS.
In other news, an All-Star Lil Posite One has just been revealed.
