Following the release of a handful of new propositions that incorporated Nike’s new recycled woolen fabric at the beginning of January, the brand is proceeding to roll out more eco-conscious designs. This time, the Swoosh is introducing a new color arrangement onto the women’s-exclusive Waffle Racer Crater, a sustainable model in itself.
Adopting the general shape of the Waffle Racer, it sees “Smoke Grey” mesh uppers that are stitched to a laceless white tongue for a slip-on silhouette. The side swoosh and heel tab use pebbled leather dipped in “Gym Red”. Similar to the earlier Space Hippie, the recycled Crater Foam is applied to the midsole. However, the pair takes it a step further by also using Grind Rubber for its outsole, as spotted on other models such as the Air Max Plus.

In other women’s footwear news, a pink and teal Air Max Zephyr is arriving soon.
