In recent years, Saucony, has made rumbles throughout the performance-running space with its Endorphin Speed silhouette. Yet, the Waltham,MA-based company hasn’t forgotten its roots, which is why it’s celebrating the Jazz Original‘s 40th anniversary in style.

Debuted in 1981, the sneaker features an understated design that still works five decades later. The result of performance-oriented design and consideration for athletes’ well-being, the low-top runner has become a go-to option for sneaker enthusiasts around the world. The pair is set to return in special editions of its original navy colorway, but undisclosed collaborators will be tapped throughout the year to add their own spin to the retro sneaker. Additionally, Saucony will release a limited-edition book dedicated to its rich history at some point during the 40th anniversary.
