Though Spring has barely started, adidas is already looking towards the next season as they continue their on-going A-ZX series with a “Frozen Lemonade” inspired ZX 8000.
Clear in its campaign imagery, the model is meant to celebrate, as adidas puts it, “the quintessential summer-time cool-down beverage.” But also, its design is directly influenced by the “Citrus” colorway that was prolific during the late 80s. Pastel yellows mark the suede both at the rear and forefoot, while more saturated variations fill in the blanks along the lining, trim, and toe cap. Elsewhere, white mesh, eye stay panels, and laces fill in the blanks adjacent to a small arrangement of mint green details.
