Whereas HOMME PLUS is experimental, often delving in the abstract and graphical, COMME des GARÇONS HOMME is conversely reserved. This extends even towards the diffusion’s collaborations, which take on an ethos somewhat similar to Junya Watanabe’s own.
For Autumn/Winter ’21, CdG HOMME linked up with Boston’s New Balance to dress up the young 57/40. While the silhouette’s debut colorways were bold, colorful at points, its collaborative suit is overtly the opposite as it dons a near full black arrangement. Underlaid, a robust nylon ripstop grounds the foundation in weather resistant utility, its panels polished just a bit more than the reflective one layer up and the velvety suedes another level above that. Soles detract little as they follow the same neutral scheme, while branded labels at the tongue opt for contrast as they type both CdG and NB logo hits in white.
Grab a detailed look at this upcoming AW21 collaboration here, and if you’re hoping to add it to your rotation, you’ll have to wait until closer to the end of the year.
In other news, official images of the Jordan 1 85 Neutral Grey have just surfaced.
