Jovani Hernandez First rumored via mock-up in February 2020, the Air Jordan 1 “University Blue” finally hits retailers on March 6th.
While not as experimental as previously-seen Zoom Air-cushioned propositions, the forthcoming pair brings a non-Chicago Bulls-friendly colorway to the forefront. A nod to Michael Jordan’s collegiate career, the titular light blue tone adds eye-catching flair to all of the retro’s suede – not leather – overlays. Tumbled leather visible throughout the iconic Jordans‘ top-half indulge in either a “White” or “Black” makeup, with the latter hue taking over most branding/branded components. Akin to some Nike Dunks of yesteryear, the sole unit boasts a “colorless” midsole accompanied by an outsole dipped in stark blue contrast. Together, the color palette has delivered a refreshing take rooted in heritage surely to top wish-lists for sneaker fans everywhere.
