Jasmine Tang Despite the Nike Air Zoom Type seems to spend most of its time under the radar, the 2020 silhouette has developed a roster of inventive propositions by switching out its customary suede uppers for other materials. Following the release of several nylon-based models, the next to join is a Baby Blue pair that incorporates hits of Volt.
The Zoom Type applies the Baby Blue shade to its nylon uppers, which see a gridded pattern throughout. Elsewhere, the same shade is used on elements such as the leather eyestays and suede tongue for a tonal design approach. While the blue is rather dull, neon pops of Volt compose the honeycomb-patterned Swoosh, Air unit, and contrast stitches to offset the aforementioned color. The signature double-stacked foam sole completes the arrangement for a futuristic, outdoor-ready look.
