Earlier last year, sneaker leakers revealed that the Air Jordan 11 CMFT Low would finally be making its return in 2021. But the “Cool Grey” they expected is not the one due to arrive. Instead, Jordan Brand is opting for a rendition much truer to its inspiration, the scheme a close replica to the original, taller “Cool Grey” AJ11.
Even in construction, the pair is quite a bit different from its decade-old counterpart. The mudguard/toe still features a velvety suede finish, however, while everything else is different in both its cut and its use of material. Underneath, a tumbled leather dresses throughout the base, placed just behind white Jumpman prints and a thin mesh netting. Above, much thicker textiles dress the eye stay as well as the tongue, the latter made taller and simpler as it lacks the patch branding of its predecessor. Elsewhere, thick white laces fasten adjacent and icy blue soles accent underfoot.

In other news, the Jordan 3 Midnight Navy is releasing this weekend.
