Michael Le Now 15 years since they first opened their doors, Bodega has cause to celebrate. And to do just that, the boutique is linking back up with Vans for a luxury-inspired take on the OG 36 LX.
Effectively, the collaboration gives the Anaheim-based brand’s most cherished classic a premium, expensive feel. Though it may add and layer on a number of luxe touches, the pair stays close to heritage, offering a colorway that’s black-dominant like the Old Skool silhouette’s definitive colorway. These shades wrap the leather eye stay, heel counter, and toe, while matching suedes dress the profile in a texture near velvet-like. Elsewhere, the lateral and medial Jazz Stripes propose more interesting, hairy textures, ones tinted a typical white and a darker brown, respectively. What’s more, leather laces further upgrade the package next to pink linings, a single tortoise shell eyelet, and fashion house informed checkerboard.
