Michael Le LA’s Undefeated and Tokyo’s NEIGHBORHOOD are certainly no strangers. Throw in adidas and you have a reunion that’s quite a few years overdue. As teased by Shinsuke Takizawa, the founder of the Japanese streetwear label, the triumvirate have not just one but two ZX 8000s on the way.
Intentionally understated, the colorways simply set the stage for the build’s many, many details. Textures of multiple kinds upgrade the upper throughout, with the base mesh forgoing the usual fabrics for a wearable Kevlar. This ballistic lines the upper throughout, dressing the toe, collar, and mid-panel, while more standard leathers cover atop. Elsewhere, bits of silver reflective deal further militaristic energy, coating the co-branding at the heel and the “UNDEFEATED” text that marks the instep.
