As Kevin Durant continues to recover from issues incurred on and off the court, the 32-year-old has unofficially unveiled the Nike KD 14. In addition to a Brooklyn Nets-friendly “Black/White” colorway, the new silhouette will also launch in a vibrant, multi-color option.
Although specific technical details haven’t been disclosed, the forthcoming pair maintains a blend of fabric, synthetic and textile materials across the upper. Composite mesh bases visible underneath the upper’s top layer boast an eye-catching lime green tone while the aforementioned coating indulges in a “White” makeup. Mid-foot lockdown straps, which have been absent from Durant’s line since the KD 7 and resemble Kyrie Irving‘s past sneakers, also deliver vivid green flair. Tongues and support structures at the heel also contribute to the shoe’s loud aesthetic, but they’re accompanied (and arguably overshadowed) by the near-rainbow arrangement that takes over the multi-directional tread underfoot. Lastly, a full-length Zoom Air Strobel works in-tandem with encapsulated Zoom Air at the forefoot to deliver responsive cushioning.
