COTTWEILER Dresses The Reebok Zig 3D Storm Hydro In Earthy Colorways On May 14th

Time and time again, new sneaker silhouettes to emerge draw inspiration from present models, some even going as far as mashing up multiple models or taking design cues from footwear geared towards different lifestyles. One of Reebok’s latest creative endeavors—the Reebok Zig 3D Storm Hydro—seems to do it all. Citing water shoes, soccer cleats, and the Winter Runner III released back in 2000 as influences, the model will soon be demonstrating the concept of variety beyond its silhouette’s components by also expanding its color palettes alongside COTTWEILER. It will follow up the initial all-black pair with two multicolor arrangements that embrace the earth tones trend.

The “Alabaster” arrangement is the lighter-hued pair among the duo, sporting a white mesh base and sandy brown accents. “Black,” on the other hand, pairs its dark brown meshes with black and blue details. Both pairs use innovative ShelterShield shrouds for a fastening system that delivers a futuristic look while providing lace protection and foot security. The sides see intricate, curvilinear overlays that further the stealth aesthetic of the silhouette. While these overlays add pops or oranges and greys to the “Alabaster” option, overlays of the other style are solely in black. But interestingly enough, the two propositions share a brown, twill-like overlay above the midsole. A wavy Zig energy cushioning-infused midsole rounds out the look of one of the season’s most unique releases.

Both COTTWEILER x Reebok Zig 3D Storm Hydro styles, designed by Evan Belforti, will drop on May 7th at select retailers like SVD. Details regarding a wider release have yet to be announced, so enjoy the official images below.
