The Air Jordan 12 may be widely-overshadowed by other models within Michael Jordan’s signature sneaker line, but it consistently delivers styles perfect for old and new fans alike. For its latest ensemble, the 25-year-old design has abandoned the icy blue and “Varsity Red” it’s donned throughout the first four months of 2021 in favor of an understated “Utility Black/Bright Crimson/White” color palette.
Unlike most iterations, the forthcoming take on the Jordan 12 features nubuck mudguards instead of ones donning an original lizard-patterned leather. The remainder of the upper indulges in dark tumbled leather, while the tongue boasts an equally-dark, but mesh construction. Eye-stays near the top of the tongue offer stark contrast to their surroundings given their matte silver finish; branding on the tongue and accents on the lateral midsole further deviate from their tonal “Utility Black” surroundings in a “Bright Crimson”. Underfoot, the Jordans feature a speckled, light bluish grey outsole that keeps the pair from being a completely covert proposition.
