In the past year, the New Balance 991 has shifted back into the spotlight, offering new colorways en masse. And soon, the England-made latter will release this coffee-inspired colorway exclusively to the brand’s German audience.
Construction-wise, the pair doesn’t stray too far into the uncommon. Pigskin suedes mark the toe, mudguard, and heel all the same, each brandishing a velvety look in their respective shades of brown. Above, the same material panels throughout, though here in variations of cream. Navy tones, then, finish underneath along the mesh, complementing the usual branding — e.g. “N” logo, tongue/heel embroidery.
In commemoration of the release, retailer 43einhalb has included a few additions of their own. The shoes will be accompanied by not only a matching mug but also the imprint’s special brand of coffee beans.
