They also serve as inspiration for Saucony‘s upcoming “Astrotrail” pack—a collection that embraces self-discovery via four styles that each represent one of the universe’s core elements: the Shadow 5000 “Air”, Peregrine 11 “Earth”, Grid Azura 2000 “Fire”, and Mad River 2 TR “Water.”
Each pair flaunts an earth-toned base to establish its connection with the Earth. However, bold multi-colored panels and overlays that reflect the element being repped offset the aforementioned brown tones. To further reference the Earth, all four offerings exhibit a trail aesthetic via details such as bungee speed lacing and speckled midsoles. As for allusions to Astrology, the tongue labels are colored according to birthstone. These labels also feature embroidery of the zodiac symbols related to each of the Earth’s core elements. Overall, all four propositions deliver a vibrant, whimsical take on their respective models.
