Throughout its 36-year-old history, the Nike Dunk Low has demonstrated that it isn’t hesitant to draw inspiration from anything and everything. In 2021 alone, Peter Moore’s iconic low-top design has emerged in styles inspired by giraffes, the South Korean flag and city markets. Before May ends, the model will add a “Lemon Drop” option to its roster, exclusively for women.
Akin to previously-seen colorways, the forthcoming pair indulges in an off-white tumbled leather that sets the stage for citrus-inspired suede overlays. The forefoot, lace guards and most of the heel is covered in muted yellow. By comparison, profile swooshes, “NIKE”-branded upper heel panels and labels on the tongue boast a bright mix of “Opti Yellow” and “Zitron”. Yet, the embroidered lemon on the lateral heel arguably steals the spotlight, as it ties the thematic color palette up well. Underfoot, midsoles opt into a tried-and-proven white makeup, while outsoles prefer an opaque brown finish.

Elsewhere under the Swoosh umbrella, the Nike Huarache has been celebrating its 30th anniversary in style.
