Originally prepared for the Tokyo Olympics, the Nike Zoom MMW 04 is a runner turned futuristic, its form a subversion of everything the Swoosh has refined thus far. And soon, Matthew M. Williams will take things up a notch as he lenses the silhouette through a dark “Rust Factor” colorway.
Far more bold than the Triple Black revealed earlier this morning, the pair employs a number of interesting color treatments, some reminiscent of A-COLD-WALL’s own collaborative projects. For example, the sole mirrors a hand-done treatment, the side walls ripe with seeming imperfections. Above, though toned down by comparison, taped overlays follow suit, accenting over top a thick base of red-dyed mesh. Bone white TPU molds, then, embed into the lateral, thin laces fasten the lightweight, minimally cushioned tongue, and MMW branding finishes quietly along the insole.
For a close-up look at the “Rust Factor,” see the official images below. It’s likely we’ll see a release very soon via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
In other news, the KANGHYUK Premier Road Modern Mid is possibly coming this season as well.
