Jasmine Tang With summer approaching, hiking trails will soon be dominated by the adventurous looking for some great sights and exercise. The great outdoors seem to be channeled by an upcoming Nike Blazer Mid ’77, which flaunts a textured build reminiscent of the rugged dirt paths.
The dark brown hairy suede that composes the upper creates a rather messy, outdoor-friendly look. Overlays around the toe and at the midfoot opt for the same textured finish, although it uses a contrasting lighter brown. The branded heel tab also shares this theme but the side Swooshes take a turn in both materials and color. These checks are in an orange-leaning tan leather, deviating from the shaggy base. For an added pop of color, the tongue label and insole adopt a vibrant, hike-ready purple. A conventional rubber outsole with a herringbone tread rounds out the design.
