Jasmine Tang From eco-conscious collections with Parley to Pharrell‘s inspirational pack of adidas NMD Hus, adidas has maintained a reputation for fostering meaningful collaborations. The purposeful partnerships continue with the Three Stripes working with the inaugural all-female class of the School for Experiential Education in Design (S.E.E.D.) as part of the brand’s commitment towards breaking down barriers faced by young creators. The collaboration has resulted in a reimagined adidas Forum Mid that showcases a wealth of colors and textures.
Leather and nylon uppers of the bold style feature a mix of soft beige, hot pink, and Team Collegiate Gold. The smooth leather lacestays and overlays wrapping around the heel are in a dark aqua color to introduce some cool tones to the palette. This blue-green shade is also seen on the nylon-like side stripes and the signature ankle strap. Unlike other adidas Forum propositions, the X-strap that dresses up the lateral side uses basketball leather—a nod to the franchise’s early days on the hardwood. A tongue label reading “SCHOOL FOR EXPERIENTIAL EDUCATION IN DESIGN” honors the collaboration and completes the women’s exclusive.
