While it’s no secret that the Air Jordan 1 has become one of the most-coveted sneakers on the marker over the last two years, what might come as a surprise to the casual collector is the model’s recent penchant for non-original, non-story-driven colorways. Case in point: a “Bordeaux/White/Metallic Silver” option first rumored in November 2020.

As with handfuls of the sneaker’s previous iterations, the upcoming retro indulges in a “colorless” smooth leather that allows the tones that take over the accompanying overlays to revel in the spotlight. A wine-reminiscent hue covers paneling around the foot, along the tongue and across the heel in a style reminiscent to many of the recent Nike Dunks to hit the market. The shimmering profile swooshes, however, create a clear-cut connection between this “Bordeaux” pair and the Jordan 1 co.jp “Midnight Navy” that first released in 2001; “wings” insignias on the ankle follow suit. Laces and outsoles round out the the retro in the titular color.

Enjoy detailed images of the Jordan 1 Retro High OG here below, and expect pairs to hit Nike SNKRS in late 2021 or early 2022.
