In the past few years, the Nike Air Force 1 has gradually become a testing ground for new ideas and innovations. And while not the first time it’s seen sustainability, the pair here adopts the “Move to Zero” mindset in ways more universally palatable.
This makes it all the easier to do your fair share. Whereas past offerings highlighted their recycled features, this update tones them down. The tooling, for instance, keeps light the colored scraps, adding them in seldom to a midsole block mostly comprised of white. Above, synthetics take the helm, applying a somewhat sheer ripstop to the toe, mid-panel, and counter. And while the former two are kept neutral similar to the aforementioned, the latter layers both warm tones and the Circular Design logo underneath. Finally, the Swoosh and eye stay finish the construction with what looks to be tumbled leather.
