Jasmine Tang Since its first release in January, the New Balance 57/40 has consistently unleashed an array of releases that playfully incorporated colors. Even its debut pair showcased a rainbow of colors through the use of midsole overlays. The fun continues with a newly-released women’s exclusive that pairs a muted “Stellar Blue” with a much brighter orange for a sporty look.
The aforementioned blue shade tints the model’s mesh base but is immediately offset by light grey leather overlays. The grey is also applied to much of the midsole and the wavy overlay that sits above it. Deviating from the cool-toned mix are the pops of vibrant orange found on the laces, midsole overlay, the sides’ leather “N” logos, and the heel tab. At the heel, an overlay introduces a darker shade of grey and suede materials. The darker grey makes its way onto the outsole as well to complete the lifestyle-friendly colorway.
