Michael Le Nike SB is getting a head start on Halloween, decorating their Dunk Low in costumes befitting the holiday. And while the sub-label’s inline counterpart was a bit earlier, their rendition holds no candle to the mummified pair pictured here.
Stereotypical yet never-before-done, the outfit mirrors the gauze wrapping of the mummies it aims to portray. A light, off-white shade is used throughout the exterior, worn away at its edge to mirror centuries of age. This execution, also, provides weight to the dual-layer design, imparting a bit of storytelling to a treatment previously used solely for aesthetic purpose. Elsewhere, aside from the blue suede Swooshes, a glow-in-the-dark finish is seen throughout, adding gleam to the sole, back heel, and the tongue label from the looks of it.
