With every step closer to the Olympics, Nike’s dropped teases of what’s to come in the near future. Among their unveils, the Air Max 2021 has joined the conversation, proffering a design far sleeker and more futuristic than its predecessors.
In design, the silhouette actually bears a closer resemblance to the Air Max Pre-Day. The upper’s shape is quite reminiscent at a glance, its base tapered towards the forefoot. Gone, however, are the retro-inspired overlays, here replaced with synthetic taping and an arrangement of dots that likely signal reinforcement. Adjacent, the lace unit is also far more advanced as it turns the language of the React Vision a bit more visually aggressive. Below, the tooling evolves the Air Max units of yesteryear, opting for an oversized cushion neighbored mostly by hollow space.

In other news, the Dunk High Aluminum rides off the baby blue trend.
